About David
David Edward Keen, who also goes by his stage name Orange Betsy, came to cinema by way of photography, and interestingly, via musical composition, fascinated by the similarity between musical composition and cinema.
Studying musical composition and classical violin performance at Purchase College in the 1990s, his mentor, classical bassist and composer Alvin Brehm, first inspired comparison between music and cinema.
Contributing his own musical compositions as soundtrack to his films, David is currently a proud member of the Filmmakers' Cooperative in New York City, where in the catalog his works can be found.
